The advent from early dental drills to ultrasonic/ fiberoptic high-speed devices, knifes to LASERS, hanging motors to physio-dispensers, ether chamber to TENS (Trans-Electronic Nerve Stimulation) and EDA (Electronic Dental Anaesthesia), wood picks to piezo-scalers & piezotomes, reverse headgears to lingual orthodontics, dentures to implants, ablative surgeries coupled with tissue loss to distraction osteogenesis, there is not one facet of dentistry that has not witnessed advancement in technique and technology.

The department has poised itself to provide holistic and comprehensive care for various dental, facial and oral health diseases. Students are exposed to all these areas as they study and without a doubt experience all theoretically learned concepts by participating in dental care along with our dental team.

- Periodontia – treatment of diseases of the gums (Regenerative gum care) and supporting structures of the teeth.
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery – extraction, surgical removal of teeth and surgical management of all diseases of the face and mouth, including – facial bone fractures, jaw tumors, cancer of the oral cavity, corrective facial and jaw surgeries.
- Pedodontia & Preventive Dentistry – prevention and management of diseases of teeth and mouth in children.
