EMERGENCY STROKE:

Brain Stroke or Brain Attack is an emergency where every minute a few millions of cells in the brain are dying. It is the leading cause of disability worldwide and the second leading cause of death. But almost all Stroke or Brain Attack can be prevented.

For Heart Attack patients.

There are 2 types of Treatment is available within golden periods. Golden Period is less than 3hours from the onset of Chest Pain or Equivalent Symptoms.

1. Clot Busters (Thrombolysis by IV Intravenous Infections)

2. Primary Angioplasty (Opening blocked Artery using Balloon & implanting a stent in the occluded vessels)

Clot busters:

Recognizing the signs of stroke early, treating it as Medical Emergency with admission to a specialized stroke unit and access to best professional care can substantially improve the outcome.

If a person who had a stroke reaches the ER with a comprehensive stroke care team, within 4.5 hours, drugs to break the clots IV Thrombolysis can be given. Earlier it is given, greater are the benefits. Following this clot removing treatment called Mechanical thrombectomy can improve survival rates and reduce disability for many people with ischemic stroke.

We have given intravenous thrombolysis/clot breaking drug treatment to more than 5000 people who had excellent outcomes and returned to their normal life. Our specialized team of doctors including Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Emergency Physicians, Interventional radiologists is available round the clock in the Hospital to give Immediate and precise care.

Emergency Angioplasty:

Primary Angioplasty is done if the patient is still Symptomatic after 24 hours of the onset of symptoms. But this Procedure needs to be trained & qualified Physicians, technicians & nurses with Full-fledged Catheterization Laboratory Setup. Here the angiogram is done, the Culprit occluded artery is opened & blood flow is established. So the patients become symptom-free & the damage of the Heart muscles is minimized (Heart Failure is averted) if done at the early onset of the symptoms.

This is considered to be the best mode of treatment for the Heart Attack. So one should remember the following.
