The general medicine Department of VMCH&RI is unique in its stature as it deals with complex, undifferentiated multisystem Diseases that requires fine skill in the holistic management of various organ disorders. The department\u2019s forte is caring for patients with multisystem disorders, infectious diseases, and chronic non-communicable diseases. It also offers a host of invasive, diagnostic and therapeutic medical procedures. Physicians in VMCH&RI are experienced and experts in their respective disciplines with a huge list of successful records.<\/p>\n
The prime focus of the Department is Comprehensive Diabetology services. The department also exhibits the state of Art Quality in the care of patients with all sorts of Infectious Diseases, Lifestyle Disorders like Hypertension & dyslipidemia, Thyroid disorders, and acute poisonings.<\/p>\n
VMCH&RI offer Teaching & training for undergraduate & postgraduate students of medicine, paramedical staff & students. It has a host of achievements including numerous publications and presentations at important conferences, which has contributed immensely to the growth of the institution. It also participates actively in various public health camps.<\/p>\n
Students of VMCH&RI are exposed to equip themselves by participating in various educational activities that include but not limited to bedside clinics, theory classes, symposia, journal clubs, CME programs and E-Journal publication, Dissertation and participation, and publication in journals and conferences, clinical meetings, mortality review meetings, and several other guest lectures.<\/p>\n
The Department of Medicine has a well-equipped Departmental library with about 300 books to aid in the process of learning for both the faculty and postgraduates.<\/p>\n
