Histopathology :

It is the study of tissues removed from patients during life (Biopsy) or study of a whole dead body (Autopsy or Post mortem). The routine study is done with light microscopic findings. An enhanced wing of additional diagnostic support is rendered by Special stains, marker studies, electron microscopy, immunofluorescence, and molecular pathology studies

Cytopathology :

Study of cells collected from patients by way of F.N.A.C (Fine-needle Aspiration cytology) or from aspirated body fluids.Haematology: Investigations done on the blood samples (most of the time to know about the quality and quantity of blood cells).

Clinical pathology:

The common samples handled are urine, stool, semen, and other body fluids.

Immuno pathology:

Investigations based on normal and/or aberrant immune mechanism of our body causing disease/ailment

Experimental pathology:

Leadings edge in research medicine to unravel the medical mysteries, which has a high impact on the ever-changing concept of nature of the disease and hence the suitable treatment modalities. Geographic pathology and genetic pathology are useful in marking out the pattern of occurrence of certain diseases in a particular area (locality) or in a particular ethnic group/race/family.
